Couple of questions for anybody who has done the "Cheats Method ".
A)..Reading through the write up sure there was an accurate set of diagrams showing what needed cutting away, think it was done by a JonArgraig..does anybody have a link or kept this ?
B )...What is the best tool to use for cutting away the sections of the dash/fascia ?
C )..Is the matrix the same for a Facelift to a M/Facelift?
D )..Anybody have the correct part # for the small "o " ring seals for the connecting metal tubes.
Many many thanks

A) Does this thread help?: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=64619
B) I used a 12" hacksaw blade with a ton of gaffertape wrapped round to create a handle, if you see what I mean.
C) & D) Dunno, sorry, o-rings came with my new matrix, which was genuine.

Many thanks for clearing up those points Abiton :y :y :y
Not sure if the OEM matrix,s on the web come with the seal rings so just want to be sure I have all the bits in place.
Have joined both the bulk head matrix pies with short section of copper 15mm tube this morning so car is now mobile and water tight ;D
Will get a matrix and bits arranged and attack it hopefully this weekend as don,t fancy no heat in car for too long :o :o :o

You're welcome. :)
One thing that only occurred to me after the job, which might be worth experimenting with:
I wonder if a bit of warmth, from say a hairdryer might help the vinyl peel away from the backing more easily? Could be worth a cautious trial on the bit furthest into the footwell? May not work at all, as it might just weaken the vinyl rather than releasing it, dunno. :-\

Hi
Did this job a few years back on an early Senator 3.0, pig of a job....never dared cut the dash. Will certainly use this "cheat" method if prob arises on my Omega..
