Title: 2.2 Overheating and no heat through vents?
Post by: PAULCDX on 02 February 2012, 23:52:04
Hi All,

I'm watching a 52 plate 2.2 on ebay with only 61k but is listed with the following faults.

Engine runs hot and no heating working.

I've spoken to the seller by email and they say the car is overheating up to 100 plus on gauge after only five mins then settles down and then goes back up again??

Any ideas what this could be and are the two faults related?

Thanks as always

Not sure, I'll ask the seller......

Will update when I've found out. It's a nice clean looking car but I just hope it's not the dreaded HG issue.....

Thanks

This was my first thought with your description. Certainly would be my first place to look

Would this be an expensive fix?  would somebody be able to take a look at this for me should I buy the car?

Thanks  :y
