Title: Disco won't start
Post by: hoofing it on 09 February 2012, 08:04:29
Just serviced my disco all the filters and oil change done my usual of filling up fuel filter before re-fitting and the bitch won't start.
There is no power to the fuel pump solinoid, starter or glow plugs(im thinking imobiliser)
Ive got it going via a small re-wire job ;) to fuel pump and starter. The glow plugs are manual heat.
Ah the joys of a landrover ???
any thoughts :y

I did one that the wire from the fusebox to the fuel pump was shorting out. If I run a live wire from the battery to the fuel pump it would start straight away. So I run a new wire from the fusebox, job was a good en. :y

Got to go to work, check your fusable links, two thick wires that run along the top of the drivers side inner wing(in a shroud ,the link part).

windows ok the central locking through a hissy fit until I took the battery off then re-connected it again.
Daz  I took a feed from the ignition to the fuel pump and rewired the starter solinoid so its all go for now ::) in fact its going better.
