Title: Elite radio question - please help !!!!!

Hi,

I bought my 2000 Elite about 12 months ago and had a radio that hasnt worked the whole.  I've just got by with my iPod. When I bought it the garage told me the radio didn't work but they would fix it. They tried 3 new head nits but couldn't get it working, in the end we both give up.

I really want to get it going now and could with some expert advise from you guys.
When I turn the radio on the lights come on so it has power and the date goes blank on the dash display but no sound comes out. The cd loads and ejects but doesn't play. The traffic master system sometimes switches on - it goes red when I'm in traffic (I think) and again the radio lights up and date goes blank but no sound !

Has anyone ever had any experience of this problem ?

Might help if you told us what radio?

NCDC2013/15 or is it a 2006?

Just radio that doesn't work? Or cd/tape as well?

by the sound of it nothing works , which you would expect if three different units have been fitted?
