Title: new exhaust and cat or not?
Post by: hermeneutika on 13 February 2012, 18:51:27
took the meega into the garage for steering and camber testing and fixing...tracking and camber now fine........however while underneath said motor we discovered that the pipe going into the cat was loose....so the exhaust is blowing at that point. ...also from the cat backwards towards the rear of the vehicle the exhaust seemed loose....the garage said they thought it needed a new exhaust and cat, which panned out at 329 ukp....(including fitting).
Is it possible to put a new seal in there...? Or were they right about getting a new exhaust? Is the exhaust meant to be a bit loose or should it be more solid.

thank you for reading look forward to any replies....

thanks
Michael

Weld in a new flexi pipe (DO NOT CHANGE CAT!!), and if the rest needs doing, DIY it, using parts from Eternal Car.
