Post by: Tonka. on 20 February 2012, 11:25:15
Not mine (thank God!!)

Just in Warners buying some Opticlean and the woman in front of me needed to replace her lost key.

New car pass, blade, R/C fob and programming....

£143  :o :o

Incidentally, Warners charge £24 for the car pass  :y :y

New key for one of my 7 Series was a £150, that included a new blade, and I can pair them to the car very easily myself. Would've cost around £120 with a new blade too.

True, but I managed to get a 2nd hand key recut (checked it had enough metal in all the right places), and reused an old fob. Didn't even get charged for key cutting, as I use the chap a fair bit, and he laughed at trying to recut a 2nd hand key ;D

If you are using a dodgy copy of a certain hardware/software combo to do that, be aware I'm am making a decent profit from fixing the aftermath said dodge copy screwing it up.  Although Nuneaton is too far for me anyway...  ;)
