Title: be careful who you call "friends"

last week one of the jobmates (I cant say friend!)  with pug 206 had an accident with a mercedes..
 
his hood and bumper was damaged badly.. so he came and ask me to direct him to a good painter and body shop..
 
and want me to check the job..  ok..
 
saturday I went to the painter , as he was busy told me to prepare the paint mixture.. as normal I took the pug
 
and went to another paint shop to prepare the mixture (they are the best at color matching).. he prepared 1 kg paint
 
standard mixture from standox at the same code "ezw" (dark greyish-blue) ..
 
as I estimated at the first initial check the color tones showed to be different even without laquer..
 
at that time I paid 70£ for paint and thinner .. and I came back..  but on the road I remembered this car will be repaired from insurance.. and asked the body shop how much insurance gave for paint ..
 
answer 70£  :o :( ..  so problem is no money left for painter labour, paint laquer and other stuff.. :(
 
I called the owner jobmate and explained the situation.. and got the answer "I dont care, insurance said 70£ , I cant pay any extra" >:( >:( >:(
 
then I said ok " I spend gas for you and I need to visit that area until the color match .. but now I give up..I will pay for the paint mixture" but you wil go and find another painter on your own >:(
 
then he started back pedalling and accept to pay for paint another 40£ for paint labour..  ;D
 
now I need to visit another 2-3 times until the color match.. but who will pay my fuel bills and the extra for shop test cards and additional paints.. >:(
 
now my decision is to make the paint correctly but I'll never accept his car another time.. >:(

I don't think that anyone has more than three or four REAL friends, Cem. Sorry to hear that your generous nature has been exploited.

Sad to hear your story.  :-\  Friends hm... if somebody isn't looking for you to ask "how are you?" but doing if he needs something it's doubt that he is your really friend...or minimum suspicious! Never again, Cem!
