Title: Handbrake Problem
Post by: John-R on 23 February 2012, 22:15:26
Hi.
I hijacked another thread with my handbrake problem, but maybe it didn't get the visibility needed.
The other day when I pulled the lever it seemed to give way like a cable had snapped but everything still functioned ok.
The lever appears to rest to one side and there is a bit of sideways travel.
Any ideas ?
Cheers.

Quite possible one of the cables has snapped by the sound of it  :-\
Or maybe one side has seized?
I guess maybe you'll need to get underneath for a look, to physically check the cable but that will mean removing the heat shields, or maybe jack up the rear first so you can test the wheels themselves  :y
