what are you guys getting in mpg in your 2.6 v6 auto.
would be nice to know what every one esle is getting :y
-
not got a 2.6 but from my 3.0 auto elite I get 17mpg round town in the winter, 20 mpg when it's warmer (I only do short journeys). From my 3.0 manual MV6 I get 24-26 around town. Both give 34mpg on a run at 80

I have an estate. I get 16-17 on a 3 mile commute with only a couple of stops for traffic lights. I get 28-29mpg on a long motorway journey with the cruise control set to 70mph.
-
I have a 2.6 V6 saloon and I usually average 18 - 21 mpg around town day to day and around 35 - 39 mpg on the motorway.
Hope this helps :y
Paul,

Mine's a 2.6 V6 saloon and I get 17 - 20mpg round town which is 85% of my journeys these days. On a long trip it can be 25 - 30mpg. Hitch up the caravan and it stays around 25mpg.
On a motorway trip recently, the display showed average 37.4mpg ! I was so shocked I took a photo of the display.

you'll probably get around 25.
I get 26-27 out of my manual car.
-
I get about 26 mpg on average from my 2001 2.6 auto for most of the runs i do. I only do about 1k a year so i dont know if that is a factor. :y
-
i get an average of 25 mpg urban + rural, but yet to try a motorway run ;)
-
21 mpg around town, 30 - 35 on a motorway run.
-
21-22 on short journeys
-
About 23-24mpg driven carefully
-
A long term average (several years) 25-26 MPG (11 litres/100km) mostly urban driving, I've got heavy boots ;D and on highways the car is mostly fully loaded.
On highway easily 32 MPG :y

2,5 seems to be more economical than 2,6... that's my experience; similar cars, other 2,5 other 2,6, the smaller one runs 9 litres per 100km while larger takes closer to 10. And, the gearbox in 2,5 changes to fourth sooner than 2,6... And, 2,5 has different diff ratio also (as standard)
