I'm about to try Radweld plus to see if that can cure a long term water leak, and going to flush the system out, am I best to add the Radweld before or after the flush.
Cheers, Jon :y

Best to sling it in the bin tbh.Find where the coolant is coming from and replace whats leaking. ;)

Radweld won't cure a leak but will stop it for a while, i'd be more worried about long term effects of having rad weld in your cooling system

I've seen the affects of rad weld :o
Budget for a new radiator ::)
Find the leak first, what engine? HBV been checked?

Thanks all
Its had a new water pump and HBV, there are no visable signs of where it is coming from. I don't want to be throwing any more serious money at it tbh. It's a 2.5 on a 98 plate.
Pete i've sent you a PM
Cheers Jon :y

Ive also seen the affects of rad weld in a 2.5 mig , made it worse than ever so i would say dont do it . There must be a leak somewhere , place a piece of cardboard underneath the car over night and see where any water drops ..that might give you a clue as to where its coming from ;)

Don't throw any more money at it until you have found the cause of the leak. ;)
The money you've spent already could presumably have been eliminated if the source of the leak had been accurately identified before replacing parts.
I would strip it down so you can see the thermostat housing, oil cooler cover, etc, then pressurise the cooling system and see if anything can be spotted.
I recently had to replace the seal on a new pattern water pump because it failed (read: turned to plastic) within 2 weeks of fitting so new parts doesn't eliminate them as problems. Unambiguously finding the leak does. :y
Don't touch Radweld unless you want to be replacing the radiator, heater matrix, etc. at a later date.

Just returned the Radweld to Halfords and bought my lunch with the refund :D

Best thing you could do :y

Bet you enjoyed your lunch more than the grief the radwell would have given you long term ;D
Total "Snake oil " IMHO ;D
