Thanks for the help, I'll connect it up as per your instructions and see what happens! I'll let you know how I get on

The colours that are missing are as follows

there is one 2 pin connector with a brown and a black wire, both thick wires and the connector is grey, and there's a smaller 2 pin green connector with 1 black and green wire and one black and yellow wire, both much thinner wires.

Behind the trim in the drivers side footwell there is an unused plug with 6 cables running to it, including all of these colours except black and yellow, but I can't find a similar plug on the passenger side in the same position.  I have spoken to the person I bought the seats from, and he promised to look at the car to see if any extra bits of loom were there, but he hasn't got back to me yet.

I've also looked at a friend's CDX estate, which has the same front seats fitted, and it has all these wires running to the seats, so I presume the GLS loom is missing the wires.

any help would be much appreciated

Hi everyone

I have a 2003 53 plate 2.2 16v GLS saloon, and I've just bought a complete leather interior from a 2001 Y plate CDX saloon to go in it,  it all fits fine but the electrical connector on the car doesn't have the same amount of wires going to it as the seat!  The motors work fine, the airbag light isn't on and the switches light up in the dash when you turn on the heaters,  but the heaters don't work, presumably because the loom is there to connect them up.

Does anybody know if there is an extra piece of loom that I need? or shall I just put with not having the heaters working?

Omega General Help / dual mass flywheel and clutch
« on: 18 January 2012, 09:49:12 »
Hi

Is there any alternative to the standard dual mass flywheel for a 2003 2.2 16v GLS?  Changed my clutch this time last year because it was very hard to get first or reverse gears from stationary, but ok when driving in other gears, but now it's getting back to how it was, we suspected dual mass flywheel and wondered if there was a solid flywheel and clutch that can be used instead? maybe from Carlton or Frontera but all research I have done seems to suggest they are dual mass as well.

I did find a company on the internet who would convert dual mass to solid, but when I rang them they said they had never done an Omega one, so presumed they weren't really a problem.

any info would be appreciated

Newbie Welcome Area / new on here

Hi all

I was recomended to look here by a friend on the DSG forum, I run a 2003 2.2 petrol saloon and tow my Viva rally car behind it.  I have a cracked exhaust manifold and wondered if anybody had any ideas where was the best place to get a replacement.  I have had the car for nearly 3 years and think it's very underated, mine drives like new after 93000 miles and has only needed a clutch and a lambda sensor and some track rod ends in that time.
