Hi all, how difficult is it to change a clutch in the above car, IE is it a diy job of is there more to it ?

Ok, changed seal in box and replaced the torque converter for a good one, refitted gearbox ad then replaced rear springs, car now drives like a champ again, many thanks to all for advice on the seal issue.

Well guys its bad news, finally got the box out and the tourque converter is screwed, long shot but has anybody got a spare converter for a 2000 2.5 v6

Well, got the bolt in seal from dealler ad finally gt the car up on jacks today, started to put rear up on stands and CLANG, chunk of rear spring fell out, £64 pounds later i have 2 new springs sitting on the table and a gearbox nearly ready to come out,

Just got of phone to dealer, most probable cause for leak is a bolt in seal around nose of converter which i will order on friday (payday) at a cost of £36, now just got to find time and a dry place to do the work.

Ok converter was removed with box swapped to replacement box and refitted together. And im gonna give vx a call and get the right parts

no probs mate its possibly my own fault, i didnt replace the o-ring when i replaced the box 
, its been perfect up till last week when we got down to -14C last week, then dumped trans oil on floor when i started it to warm through before work, been leaking since, so rather than wreck another box ive been walking to work .

Problem is the gearbox is still in car, i wanted to get all bits before removing it, need to get this sorted as last time this happened it dumped all trans fluid and cost me a replacement box from Albitz, id rather not do this again as you can imagine.

Hey all this is probably a long shot, but would anybody happen to know the size of the o-ring on the end of the input shaft that joins with the torque converter, mine has frozen and split in the cold weather, 
If anyone knows the answer to this ill be eternally greatfull.

but as said, you only needed to buy the roller
Yeah i know, my local parts center has no listing for just the bearing roller ad the guy needs the car ASAP and was prepared to pay the cost, so that is what i will do, i did try to tell him otherwise,
On another note, does the belt on the 2.6 route the same as on the 2.5, if not has anyone got a copy of the routing diagram please?
