it might be that , as when i took it home from upgrade and engine was hot it was a different , in a good way , car

As some has previously said, first thing to check would be the fluid level as this can cause problems.

If that is at the correct level (and colour) then you could go on to check to see if there are any codes stored.
I'm only 25mls away from you and could bring my basic code reader over, to see what and if anything is being shown?.

However, it may well need to get someone with more sophisticated code reading equipment to help out. Ideally someone with a proper Tech2 as that's the daddy of them all.
