Ive found Bilt Hamber medium clay works fine for me. And you only need water as lube which is a bonus.

6000 w&d sounds dam fine.! Most of the starches arnt too deep luckily so will see how far I get without wet sanding .

I've not used a clay bar before . What are they like?

Its literally a piece of clay you rub over the paint work (with water or detail spray as lube). It lifts bits of tar etc off the paint.

As mentioned above, if you drop it, bin it!

Who will be the first to test the IP67 rating? ;D
If it can't stand being submersed at a depth of no more than one metre for a short (generally < 30 mins) time then it isn't as described and they would have to replace it anyway  ;)

How could you prove how deep of water,or how long it was submersed for ? Surely everyone who has to take their phone back will just claim it was in these parameters

Get a.n.other header tank cap, drill and fit a tyre valve. then use that to pressurise the cooling system whilst it is not running ... far easier to find the true source of leaks when nothing is rotating or vibrating .. you can also use paper towel to wipe away traces of coolant and see if they reappear from the same spot...

Never heard of this before, sounds genius though. Definalty going to adapt one of my spare header tank caps incase i ever need to try this

love that, 'i have another 12months mot' feeling. Almost lures you into the false sense of security that your going to have 12 months trouble free motoring
