Tunnie

Had similar event with my 2.0lt also heard a ticking sound when I inspected with engine running the DIS pack was actually arcing to the engine, when I removed the DIS pack and inspected it there was a crack from the front to the back on number 4.
changed DIS pack (29.99 & P+P on FLEABAY) purring like a kitten again. Hope this helps. :)

Can any one out there help????? I changed my DIS pack today on my 1999 2.0l CD as the engine was very lumpy and struggling at times and upon closer inspection found that the DIS pack was actually arcing with the rear of the engine as there was a crack in it..
Any way changed the dis pack today and all seemed fine, started straight away and no more arcing however when i revved the engine through the range it still feels and sounds a bit rough betwwen two and a half and four thousand revs.
Took her for test run and she seemed perfect accelerating through the whole range whithout missing a beat, however I noticed the temp gauge was still on the rest after half an hour of running and that my front windows would not go up or down with one push of the button it now needs to be held. Could all this be related???????
when i got home revved her again and its still doing the same thing?????????
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers Lee

Omega General Help / stalling 2lt CD 00(v)
« on: 19 May 2007, 12:09:11 »
hi, first time on here got a few for ya, hopefully someone out there can help, I have a 2.0 CD 2000 (V), had problems with stalling at the most annoying moments ie. approaching roundabouts and junctions, the car can run fine for days on end and then it will have a day of total distruption everytime I slow down and put the clutch in it will stop, had the AA out a couple of times they plug in there fault reader and say it could be air mass meter, crankshaft sensor or cam sensor prob but can't be sure as the car would'nt do it whilst they where here they then close the bonnet and off they go. What i would like to know is can I carry out the paper clip test on my model and year or can I buy a fault reader to check the code myself when it does it and how easy are these jobs if I have to do all of them.Sorry I must sound a bit thick but you guys and gals on here seem to be the subject matter gurus and I think I just need a gentle push in the right direction. cheers
