blimey, that was quick!

Thanks guys  :y. I'll give the drop links a try then but the wishbones have already been replaced as that was my second guess too. I've also checked the track rod ends and the only slight bit of play was in the steering box.

drop links here we come...

Hi

I'm a bit new to this so apologies if I've put this question in the wrong section...

I have a 1998 2.5 CDX with a manual box. I bought the car about 8 months ago and it's always sounded like it's making a knocking noise when I go over bumps (seems to be coming from NSF wheel).

It's starting to get on my nerves now though because I've checked all the front and rear suspension, exhaust system, engine mounts and made sure there are no stones hiding in the heatsheilds (I know it sounds daft but I'm desperate!).

To save anyone who might ask I've checked the droplinks and bottom arms and all is well.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Paul

Newbie Welcome Area / Hello

Hello everyone

My name's Paul and I come from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire (for those of you who know it and have been there I can only apologise  ;) ).

I'm currently driving a 1998 2.5 CDX manual Omega in silver. It's a nice car but part of me is always going to wish I bought the 3.0!

This is my second Omega as I had a 1996 2.0 GLS manual a few years back. I'm sure some people like them but I found it too thirsty (seemed to return about the same mpg as my V6 one!), a bit underpowered and lacking in toys.

Hopefully I'll be of some help to some of you and vice versa

/me
