ok i have checked the fuses and all ok, i unpluged the clip at top passenger side under hose and it still runs i unpluged some other wires when i was there with no luck. it is only the drivers side fan that runs i bet it is something daft. you see when i bought the car the aircon was not blowing cold so i did the hbv then the car started to overheat so i was snooping around and found that a fuse was out in the relay box when i replaced the fan came on and now wont go off. i flushed the system and the car runs at about 90 or just over.oh the aircon still aint working but its freezing out side now so dont need it. :-/ :-/ :-/ oh when i did the hbv i put the hoses on the wrong way.
ok thanks for the replys guys.. i have checked the fuses before but i will check again you never know as for the switch on the fan is it simple to find and would unpluging not put it off anyway so how will i know if it is . but i think it is some thing like that.cheers i will let you know tomorow how i got on....
yes still trying to solve this... :-/ :-/ :-/ yesterday i changed all my aircon relays with no joy. so im thinking some kind of heat sensor or thermostat is stuck telling the fan to run? any ideas. for those who have not read my old post in general help when ever i turn the car on one of the fans on the outside of the rad runs all the time. i was changing my cd to a sony last week and got a flat batery. i know i should have left it running.
well i got the pipe off yipee now i just have to wait on the bit then see if i can put it back togeather,,,,, thanks for the help dont go any whare i might need help to get it back together,,, well if i manage this its the cam cover gaskets next,,, thanks again
just read your how to on the cam covers looks hard i could do with that aswell wonder if i sholud just go for it ?? dont want to wreck my car though so i take it i would have have to depresurise the fuel system just to get that off and change the hose oh i should oh put it in the shop
ah i did see somthing down there that looked like brass the connector was beside it. is it easy to take off because im a bit unsure what im doing i should off put it in a garage but i like to try things myself
hi again i had a massive leak on friday thought it might be hbv but no such luck. it was the hose from the hbv to the engine oh how do you change that one ..... took of the plenum to ease accses but still cant get to it i hate those spring clip things so ill have to get a new one but cant get the old one off any ideas , also when i took off the plenum i found a black wire with a spade connector on the end any ideas where it may have come from because i dont ,,,, cheers dave
driving to work yesterday me car started to sound funny i know the exhaust back box is on its way out as i have pulled out some hair like stuffing out, the car now sounds like a V8 well it is a V6 loosing power , i took it to a private road last night and it was making one hell of a noise at 80 when i got home more stuffing came out but i think im getting the odd wiff off fuel which i never had before,so is it just the case of the back box or something more sinister?
i have the problem on my v6 3.0 i have never changed yhe oil so no idea of what is in it. i think i will change the oil and if it goes they same way there will be a good car for spares with 69k on it
i had this problem but the reason was when i fitted the hbv i put the two drivers side pipes on upside down and i was sure they where right have you changed the hbv :question
mmm sounds like you might be right but the driver side should control that to unless its a sticking relay keeping your a/c on can you here the engine note change when you push the eco button
im not sure but you can try and reset the heaters there is a how two on here ,i cant quite remember i think you turn the car on and hold off and auto fof a few secs then you should here the fans moving,,
