So its not updating the date manually (same place you change the time)?

I've seen oddities on the NCDC/NCDR where the flash is corrupt.  Refreshing the firmware can resolve it most of the time in my experience.

Yes, you change it manually, but when you store the time and date you want, its clicks back to something/something/2006.

How can i refresh the firmware?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC 2013 Time/Date not updating
« on: 09 October 2025, 15:17:19 »
Afternoon all,

My NCDC 2013 wont store the date, I've managed to get the time roughly correct, however the date still thinks its some date in 2006.

I've read elsewhere its an issue with the NCDC unit itself rather than the colour display.

I have tried to see if there is a way of telling it the date in "My Naff Code Reader", however no such luck.

Anyone know of a way to correct this?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Haunted Interior Light
« on: 07 October 2025, 14:52:37 »
*update*

So thanks lads for the pointers, ive pulled the kick panel off and check behind, dry as a bone, however disconnected everything and cleaned up all the connections just to rule that out.

The only thing i could find water in was the driverside door pin switch, so i stripped it apart dried it out and lathered it in WD40, i also cleaned off some of the blue corrosion on the earth point of the switch, the screw and also cleaned up the hole where the screw goes through. Doing this seems to have cured the audible buzzer sounding like it was dying. also the interior light seems to be behaving again...

Very odd, will see how long it lasts though

Thanks for your help boys  :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Haunted Interior Light
« on: 07 October 2025, 11:52:17 »
Hi All,

So just dropped the wife off at the train station, as she got out interior light come on like normal, however never went out..

Its now permanently on, (I've now taken the bulbs out) i thought maybe it was the door pin switch, however the door lights go on and off with the door opening and closing so makes me think its something else, I've took this out and cleaned it anyway but made no difference.

The headlight switch is pushed in. however the buttons on the light switch itself now don't do anything at all so the courtesy light no longer respond to the buttons either - could it be a dead circuit board on the light itself?

Has anyone come across anything similar before?

Morning All,

Does anyone on here fancy doing my 3.2 Cambelt kit, Waterpump and Aux Belt?

Appreciate some of you folk have the locking tools etc. so would rather pay someone that know what's there doing rather than me having to buy everything

I'm the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border but happy to travel where needed

Hi Sam..I think you should try Serek at SOS Automotive,in Huntingdon, as he breaks the odd Omega. I've been taking my three Omegas there for many years and he has an infinite knowledge of the beast, having owned quite a few himself, and comes highly recommended on OOF. I don't have a phone number to give to you as I only have his personal mobile number,.and can't give that out. But they are on facebook, and have a website also.

I remember that name from many moons back, i think i brought some bits from him a few times, i will reach out. Thank you  :y

It's the only thing on the 3.2 that would make that noise as there's none of the emissions BS that the 2.5/3.0 are afflicted with.

Ahh okay, thanks for that, every day is a school day  ;)

Hi Sam, welcome back. I remember you and your DTi.
You came down to Essex to buy some parts from me years ago, when I was breaking Omegas.
Sounds like all you need to do now is pull the fuse for the self levelling pump. Not much point in removing it imo.
You should check the rear springs youve bought though. You may well have been supplied with springs for an Elite, which will be too soft for standard shocks.

Hello sir!

Wow, blast from the past! sounds about right, i was blasting everywhere for bits for the DT hahaha

So I've just checked the springs i brought, they are listed for the 3.2 Saloon without rear self levelling, so sounds like you could be right, just need to pull the fuse (just need to find out which one)

Interesting, I've already changed the rear springs as one was broken, however when changing I'm 99% sure the rear shocks have been changed already for non self levelling ones - in this case I think it maybe a case of just removing the pump - just to clarify though, the noisy pump is in front of the driver side front wheel, is this the compressor then? just on my VXR's that's exactly where the secondary air pump is mounted

As title suggests, would like to find an MV6 Front Bumper for my Elite project

Cheers

Hi Everyone,

Sam here, some of the OG members may remember my high miler 2.2 DTI which i did a full interior swap from cloth to cream leather, xenon retrofit and a few other bits.

Picked my 03 Plate 3.2 Auto Elite up about a month ago, usual rusty areas are due to be addressed - had many platforms over the years, however this is my first 3.2.

Absolutely love it!

Glad to be back, I have some weird and wonderful niggles to sort which no doubt the OG members and people a lot cleverer than me will be able to help on.

My main annoying thing is the Air Injection pump in the wheel arch is proper noisy when first starting up - just wondering if there is a way over servicing them or its just a replacement jobby

I have a Facelift GLS Front Bumper kicking about.

It would need the Front Washer Drilling

Its blue unfortunately...

Your more than welcome to it though  :y

Dealer rung me back, they tracked one down from a branch in Inverness - sorted now Please Lock  :y :)

Omega General Help / Omega Repair Panels
« on: 12 May 2018, 20:33:08 »
Hi All,

I'm looking for repair panels for my FL TD, I keep finding rear panels for the pre facelift, will these fit the FL?

Is there any difference in the rear quarter/ wheel arch between PFL and FL?

Here are a few I've seen
