Omega General Help / Re: HELP!!!! COOLANT LEVEL LEAKING FORM HEAT EXCHANGER
« on: 22 August 2011, 14:27:23 »
I get it dude.
The oil filter fits into a cap, the cap has 2 pipes going out of it.
the oil passes throught this system and the oil filter cleans the oil, while it passes through this unit the coolant cools the oil down.
dealers have said that this heat exchanger is prone to leaks and a replacement of this heat exchanger is about £300.
the item u describe is exactly there, drive side lower end.
The heat exchanger is leaking coolant from the rear, dripping down the oil filter and gathering on the floor . leak not in the oil filter itself......
need a fix or new exchanger??? but unclear about this new stainless steel part replacement thing?
??
any views anyone
