HTH Al
got mine undone with some degreaser, kids sweets stuck in it..That would be too easy,no think it's the linkage
Sorry Andy, didn't explain it right, can't pull it out, think linkage is damaged between belt and catch, garage priced new about£180 and got to come from germany, got car back and will have a go myself over weekend, failing that will phone around scrappies.cheers for imfo,Terrymot today, passed on everything except centre seatbelt, catch on seat faulty and not activating the belt release.garage trying to repair but can't get it back in,afraid they might break it,anyone had this problem and fixed it ,please
Not sure what you mean. Is the seat belt not able to be pulled out? Or it's not feeding back in? If not pulled out, it's connected to the button on the top of the seat that you press to lay the back down for loading etc. I used to have problems with my Astra estate, I used have to make sure that before laying the back down, I released some belt otherwise, when it was lifted back up the belt would lock up & not release. To get it to feed back in I'd unbolt the belt form under the seat base to give some slack, it would work OK then.
cheers Dan,will tell her to forget it and look for manual, thanks,Telhi mate
semi auto has no cluth but you change gear manualy via stickshift or paddles on steering wheel i think
If its the new shape 1.8 i -shift i had one....and it was useless. slow gearchanges, jerky slow gearbox drained all the power. Nice car spoiled by a very poor gearbox.
I'm looking forward to the next one, missed the lastWe had a mini-meet in December (5 of us) but I think Seth is planning one in the Bridgend area before too long

It's one option that's being seriously pursued at this time.
However, there's also: http://www.ynysarwedcampsite.co.uk/FarmHome.htm

I was questioning this a while ago it's all to do with the torque converter locking up, ie, 1st into second, second into 3rd, then the torque converter locks, then Locked 3rd into locked 4th.cheers maracus, just thought I'd magically grown another gear, lolseemingly 4 shifts
