Well I just picked up a 2.0 Omega auto. Don't know too much about them except that it has the first four banger called the ECOtec and that it is a GM V-body that my Pontiac GTO is based off of. I'm wanting to go thru and change all the fluids. I also want to do some rust proofing. There is some rust thru-out but it is not too bad, nothing I can't take care of with a little time.

Omega General Help / New owner made a mistake
« on: 06 May 2012, 08:45:31 »
Hello. I'm a new owner of a Omega 2.0 16V. I made the mistake of washing my engine bay with the battery connected after performing a oil and spark plug change. I fired the car up now I got a check engine light. I jumpered the ECU and now I got a P0500 and P0340. Is it possable I messed up the ECU? The car seems to run fine until I try to accelerate past 40mph and it just hits the rev limit. Any advice?
