Hi all

Need a little help and advise if possible, I have searched the forum but have had no joy. I have an 02 plate omega 2.2 saloon, I believe I have HID Xenon, my Dipped beam has a dome liked shape lens ( I assume the bulb fits behind this dome) please correct me on this if I am wrong. And please advise whether or not I have HID Xenon.

I have been looking at bulbs just as a replacement for my existing ones, just looking around to get better & brighter bulbs. I believe I need the D2S bulbs?

But their are many options available, what are the standard bulb power fitted on my omega? also I have been looking at the bay and they come in many different powers ie 4300k 6000k 8000k and 10000k, what would you guys recommend? and can My omega take up to 10000k.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

For a Saloon you should have 3 buttons, for programming, you can either visit TheBoy (Jc9 M40) or KevinWood near Alton, Hampshire.  :y

really appreciate the info, i am based in london, can you direct me to anyone in london?

Kindest Regards

If you get a horse shoe blade like this NB the ref re 105 cut from the key code from your 'Car Pass' (can be obtained from Vauxhall £20/£50 depending on your dealer) Contact one of the breakers here for a suitable fob, then turn up at a major meet (bring your Car Pass with you) talk 'dangle berries' for the day with other members and get it coded via one of The Boy's Tech IIs (obviously check first that one will be there before you turn up  :y :y)

Thanks for the info

I have already ordered for the key to be cut (horse shoe 105 with transponder), could you direct me to anyone who can programme or even sell me a three button remote?

Regards

Hi all. need a little help

I have a vauxhall Omega 2.2 petrol Automatic, when I purchased the car I was only given one key, this key is a standard laser cut key without the remote buttons, and has a built in transponder.

I am looking to get a new key with remote buttons, but i am really confused whether or not my car came with a three button remote or a two button, can anyone advise where it would make any difference, i know the third button opens the boot, but if i was to get a two button remote would it still work if it had all the electrical bits in it, i am aware that i would need to get someone to programme it to the vehicle for it to work, its just that vauxhalls want £170 which I believe is ridiculous, I have my car pass with all the codes.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Kindest Regards
