thank you all for the info its great advice.
the tapping starts soon as the car is started and does not go away and it comes from the right side of engine.

hi guys i have a 3.0 mv6 and recently i topped the oil up with about a litre of 5w 30 and now i'm experiencing tapping noises and its bloody annoying  and scaring me if something goes BANG cause the last time i had this tapping noise was my 323 bmw and it heat seized, please tell this won't happen and there is a cure to fix and keep my beloved beast in working order.

HI omega lovers, my 3.0 mv6 estate gets hot and white ish clear smoke comes out the exhaust when stationary. but a couple of weeks ago the coolant light came up on the check computer on the dash, so i topped it up but now and again the coolant check comes on the off!!! so i check the coolant level and its perfect. after an hour i feel the coolant bottle and its still pretty hot. could i have a blocked hose or something else please help. thanks

hi people, i have no idea when my mv6 transmission oil was changed and from 1st to 2nd it thumps abit!! but not when warmed up. should i be concerned and is it cheap and cheerfull to services the gearbox?

yeah i'd say you have the elite cause i've got the mv6 estate on a R reg and it dont have the heated rear seats or the 3 memory settings either. unless mines just to old for that luxury.
