Uptown Houston, $3.99 a gallon for both petrol and diesel. That's 75p a litre give or take :-X

Even CN have picked up on just how tied to China th UK has become, arguing that the Chagos deal, the recent trade trips and trying to defend the Iranian regime only make sense of we're allies of China and by definition, anti American.

But I thought USA was less than UK Gallon More Than US Gallon in capacity.

But just checked 25 Gall tank on my old Pontiac and seems UK is the caller holding only
20.8169 UK Gall

As they say we learn something new every day.

US gallon is obviously still 8 pints but a US pint is only 16 fl oz versus a proper UK pint which is 20 fl oz.

That said, if it's off the car, the Schrader valve won't be holding much air in the system ;D

good point!  ;D ;D

The air bladder doesn't have a valve in it... The pressure is regulated by a relief valve on the pump.

Didn't the rear air suspension on a Carlton estate just have a schrader valve in the boot area of the car  :-\

Thanks Doctor - so coolant won 't come pouring out?

the holes are where the transmission fluid would flow through hence no coolant will 'pour out'  :y

I go supermarket shopping 3/4 times a week. If I got arsey about inconsiderate parking, I would spend half my life complaining.

when we use my car for the supermarket shop, I park on the other side of the carpark to the store & put my nearside wheels on the white line to 'discourage' people from parking next to me  ::)

Got back to a note on the windscreen.

"THANK YOU FOR YOU'RE INCONSIDERATE PARKING !

NEXT TIME ALLOW SPACE FOR OTHERS TO BE ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THEIR VEHICLES....."

I wouldn't mind, but it is perfectly in the space... Centred and straight ???

Still at least they spelt 'their' correctly. ::)

Oh, and definitely a girl from using a circle for the dot of the exclamation mark  :-X

I have 'history'  ::) at work for where I park ie I routinely park my Smart where there is no marked space ..... but not in anyone's way.
I recently parked it in a space but well over to one side .... but still within the white lines .. so that it gave me more room to open my driver's door without clouting the car next to me. I was 'shouted at' for not parking in the centre of the space by the lad who then parked to my passenger side because that reduced the amount of room he had to get out of his car.
You can please some of the people .......   ;D ;D

To Andy's earlier point, the pistons are aluminium and  .....

I believe that some MB calipers even have some kind of plastic piston  ???

I've hundreds of them  .... tiny 1.5mm up to 19mm & probably bigger. But as above, no 7mm or 11mm (did actaully have a 7 but it wouldn't fit in)

Same when I got the XE. One end needs a 7mm long hex key and I think that's an 11mm at the other end. Probably the same manufacturer of calipers. Fancy picking the two sizes that nobody will have in their toolbox. >:(

Indeed ... fancy that ... obviously an oversight!  ::) ::) ;D ;D

I'd to go & buy a 7mm allen key and then later buy an 11mm allen key when I did brakes on the R Class. I went to various motor factors for them ... not a chance. Had to order off the interweb  ???

I have an old coffee tin with probably more than 100 allen keys in it. Yet to come across a size I don't have.....so far. >:D

.... and if the bores are done then I won't be any better off. Notwithstanding that I would rather not leave the brake system open for that long.

The bore of a caliper is irrelevant  .... the seal stays static in the bore while the piston slides through it ie the  complete opposite of engines pistons

Needs a new caliper and my thought process is to fit a pair.

When my daughter's Yaris was suffering from a sticker caliper (only happened after new pads) I looked into a new pattern caliper. They weren't expensive but my thoughts were it'd be better to spend money & time fitting a new piston & seals to an OE caliper rather than using an unknown quality pattern replacement. In the end it was only about £20 for the parts to refurb the original caliper.
