Hello again,

Another problem, warning message about field vision etc, understand that it is self levelling of headlights which can be found NSF on wishbone, have looked and actuator arm fits loosely over nut, worn with rust and the sensor has fallen of the arm, where can I get replacement and what is the part number if anyone knows.

Omega General Help / Service
« on: 25 March 2013, 16:48:44 »
Am going to service (52 plate) CDX2.6 V6 this weekend and would appreciate advice and brand of service items for the following if you can help;
Air filter, Oil filter, pollen filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil.

Have read threads relating to spark plugs, with oil filter understand that this may be "paper" filter. Regarding oil have read threads and assume that GM synthetic is ok.

Will try Andy C for parts, can anyone please confirm oil filter and location of pollen filter and any other service items that may be required, mileage 76k, just completed full cam belt and auxiliary belt change etc.
Thanks

Omega General Help / Re: Weird Alarm
« on: 13 February 2013, 20:42:09 »
Had same problem, disconnected alarm sounder. As this has an internal battery that is charged from the main, could be that it is not recharging properly and still sounding off. As everyone seems to say just disconnect and do away with. See what happens, no expert though, so could be completely wrong.

Omega General Help / Re: Thermostat
« on: 31 January 2013, 13:26:18 »
Al, the heating has always appeared to work failry well and heats up fairly quickly but not overly hot, climate control keeps either side warm or hot as required, front demist slow and condensation build up sometimes on rear windows.

Omega General Help / Thermostat
« on: 29 January 2013, 18:22:21 »
Have read several posts about the heating system, flushing through etc., however, with the temperature gauge prior to yesterday has never risen above zero, even on long journeys, or even over say 50 miles. Yesterday was stuck in slow moving traffic and gauge rose to 85 on dial and stayed there whilst slowly moving and then whilst moving in fast traffic, today same, rose to about 90, but then stayed there. Could the thermostat have been stuck all this time or other problem? Have checked cooling fluids weekly and no loss of water, no apparent leaks, all seems fine and no over heating smells. Car runs fine all the time and doesn't appear to be any difficulties. 2.6CDX 2002 auto saloon. Just curious really.

Essex big Al, many thanks am in Hullbridge on Wednesday afternoon, so could collect then, if ok with yourself. Saloon body and fairly certain that they are not self levelling, though not sure, 2.6 CDX model. Have set of spanners so if only two bolts that's great.

Many thanks to everyone for your help once again always good advice
