Have you sorted this yet?  I had the same issue a few months ago and it was a small split in the hose that goes between the pump and the top plate.  I replaced it with a   " In-Tank Convoluted Fuel Injection Hose (Nylon) 260mm 7.5 - 9mm Heat Shrink End" from ebay,  It's been fine ever since.

Snap. Doing pretty much the same to mine.  I noticed a small area next to the reinforcing plate, started prodding away and ended up with taking the plate off the steering box out and 3 layers of steel removed.
Just have to put it all back in now.

That was not going to happen.

I did think about just smearing some seam sealer over it and putting it in for a test but it's been off the road for 2 1/2  years now and I can do it myself so a bit longer isn't going to matter. I know there is also a bit on the osf inner sill lip that needs doing (and the rear wheel arches) but other than that it doesn't seem too bad..
I'm sure it will be worth it eventually.

Well got it out.  Access isn't great but you don't have to remove the down pipe but the starter does have to come off
It looks like it should come out easily but it does fight you.
Onward with the rust repair now.

Found more rust than I was expecting so started stripping it ready for repair.

As above are there any members in or near St Helens with a B&Q tradepoint card who would be willing to get something for me and post it?

They happen to be the only depot in the country that list having this particular item in stock at a price that is over 50% cheaper than i can get it anywhere else.

What colour is it?

Log book says silver but i would say grey

Seeing as I am telepathic, I would say Lightning Silver...

Having done a quick google search you could be right. Its only for the sills so might just order a can and hope for the best..
