Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re:Re-syncing your key fob
« on: 14 May 2016, 09:48:37 »
Thanks everyone. I read through some of the forum and found my answer. To resync your key you have: :D
Ignition off with the key in the ignition slot.
Press the key in (you will feel the ignition give slightly).
While holding the key in press the lock button 1x.
Still keeping the key in press the unlock button 1x.
Keep the key depressed for a count of 10 seconds.

Your fob is now resyncef.

Once again this forum has helped me.  :y :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Replacing Omega Elite Headlights
« on: 11 August 2015, 20:02:02 »
I have just been advised that my 1997 Omega Elite is failing MOT because the headlight height adjusters are inoperative. The dealer can't get the parts and I have been advised to see if I can find any. Is this the same headlight as any Omega or are they specific to the Elite model?

Do I have to replace the headlights or is there a fix?

Lise

Omega General Help / Re: Elite self levelling shocks fitting

Just taken the car for a test run and it is perfect.  Great job by my sons Aaron and Liam :y.  Might get a Haynes manual and see if they are up for doing the work  ::).  Anyone here know where I can get a Haynes Manual for a 1997 Omega Elite Estate?

Omega General Help / Elite self levelling shocks fitting
« on: 19 October 2013, 11:23:46 »
I am trying to fit my shock absorbers on my omega elite.   The shocks that were on there were the wrong ones and do not have the same parts as the dealer self levelling shocks.  I need to know which rubbers and washers go where.  I have the new washers for the self levelling shocks, but only have the rubbers from the previous Monroe (or perhaps previous self levelling dealer shocks).  Can anyone help with the order in which they go on?

Hi dolphintat.

Horn - usually wires corroded near horn, if you're really lucky, a fuse.
Seat heating - leather or cloth seats?
Pixels - unusual on a 1998 model. Unless its a 97 model, where its far more common.

I work in Bletchley if you need someone to point at bits ;D

Horn fixed
Leather seats
I have a 97 model and I am looking for a working second hand digital dash display unit also need the headlamp washer caps [any ideas where I can get these]

Thanks for the help :y

Omega General Help / Omega Elite 1998

Hi, I have recently bought an 3L V6 Omega Elite Estate 1998 87 000 miles on the clock.  I am new to all this and have some things I need to sort out on it.   It is a first for me. :o  Normally I would just get the hubby to sort this, but he is working abroad right now so it is up to me to get my hands dirty so to speak. ;)

a list of the problems:

Need an owners manual
Horn not working
dead pixels on digital dash display (have found links on how to fix this) so will give it a try.
Driver seat back heating , but not the bottom of the seat.

Any pointers on what to do.  I do not even know where the fuse box is :-[

Many thanks
