Thanks for the suggestions fellas, I havn't got it yet so I won't get any error codes till I plug it in.
Is the microphone speaker built in to the car somewhere? no obvious grilles, where's normal, overhead console?

I don't know what the original head unit was, it's got a CAR400 in it from when I bought the car a year ago, the steering wheel has got radio controls although I bought a Carbon Fibre Irmscher wheel from a  breaker recentlyand fitted it, but it's  electrically identical.

Ihave just bought a CCRT 700 to go in my 98 MV6 estate, will I need anything else except an aerial and SIM card? It has a good dispaly but there is so much talk about diferent ones I don't know which is which?? Help!! I can vaguely see a little phone symbol lurking unlit(cos there is no phone attached yet I think) on the display??

Okay fellas, driving back from work today and braking hard for a stop, just as I was about to stop I heard a big thump from the rear end, just like the rear subframe was moving forward under braking, any one had this type of problem before? Sub frame bushes? Known problems?

Newbie Welcome Area / Just saying hello

I bought a 98 MV6 estate earlier this year and have gradually been replacing worn out parts.

Its dark blue with cloth sports interior. Just had new wishbone arms fitted today.

I came across an MV6 saloon today close to my work adress which is being broken up, seems a shame it looks quite good.

So i am buying the Irmsher wheels, front bumper, Xenon headlights etc.

I have a couple of questions: what do I need to include to make the headlights an easy? fit?

This car also has good sports leather, I know the front seats will fit, the backs look brand new, but will be dificult to alter, anyone done this, they seem too good to miss.

Also the car has a CRT 7000 head unit, do I need any other bits if I buy the head? Aerial of the roof etc.??
