So today i had a closer look to the car and i did not buy it = (

1) The two mass flyfeel was doing strange noise and needs replacing soon ~1.2k euros + work
2)Clutch is almost done and needs replacing ~400euros
3)Two simmers, if thats correct word, were done and need replacing
4)Crankcase gasket was done and needed replacing
5)Gearbox was leaking oil

So the car itself looked stunning, but the engine needed too much work and money, so i decided to look away from it = (

Currently looking for 2.5TDI BMW powerplant Omegas and mby 2.0 Diesels = /

Thanks. I sure hope so. On saturday i can have a closer look under the car, then i can specify some of the problems.
But it was a neat car and i would not mind doing some repairs on it, just that i would like to avoid those rly expencive ones just after buying it thanks to low budget for this month

Greetings. Sorry for the spelling mistakes, but english is not my main language, but because i did not find any kind of proper forum in my country, i desided to come here for help.

So im thinking of buying a 2.2DTI Omega from year 2001. Yesterday i went to see it and i found out some good and bad things and i do not want to buy a car that will be expensive to repair.
So the problems:
1) On first start the the rev's were hoping up and down every once in a while. It stoped when i turned the engine off after 2 minuts and started it again, i did not touch the throttle. While driving the car and throttle responded normaly. What could be the problem?
2)No warning lights are working in the dashboard. Seatbelt light, handbreak light or any kind of other warning light isnt working.
Hazard lights and dashboard lighting itself is working.
3)Climac isnt working. The unit itself blows outside air, but the aircon bump itself did not seem to work.
4)There is a suspicious oil leak in the bottom of the engine, did not find to leaking spot. Is it a major issue and should i walk away from this car?
5)On 90km/h there was some odd whistle noise coming from somewhere, might it be wheel bearing or something worse? It did not whistle on 100km/h or 80km/h
6)Some of the interior trim was bit ratling, 1interior vent and something inside or near passenger side.


Other than that, the car seemd solid and rust free and i fell in love with it from the first meters i drove it. Im fed up of constant repairs on Passat and want something new or better, and Omega seems to be the car to have...
