Gonna knock that idea on the head I think and just be happy with the 2.2i for the moment. I'll just sit tight and wait and see if a nice V6 comes up for sale that I trade mine in against.

Yep,

I've had 2 manual 2.5 Tourers, 3 Auto 2.5 Tourers & a manual 3.0 Elite saloon. Prefer the manual + a tad better on fuel.

Engine swap

Looking for some advice please....

I have a very clean and tidy 2002 ‘ish’ 2.2i petrol manual Omega Tourer CDX but I am thinking of doing a V6 engine and running gear transplant as I can not find a V6 Tourer that is a clean as mine at a price I can afford!

I have found a 2000 facelift 2.5 manual saloon for a good price with lots of history ( due for cambelt change ) just had recent plugs, leads, oil & air service plus it’s T & tested! and it would make an ideal donor car.

So my question is....... What kind of a job would I be taking on and is it possible without to much hassle? I’m pretty good with spanners so I’m not too worried about doing the work just more worried if I can make it work.

Feedback, opinions, suggestions ( polite ones  ) most welcome.

Hi to one and all...

Hope to be picking up my first Omega saloon tomorrow ( owned 5 estates so far! ) - a 1996 3ltr Elite. Idea is to post up before and progress pics as she comes along.

I would like to put a post in the wanted section... Looking for a set of 4 17'' Elite / MV6 alloys - how can I do this?
