Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCR2006 SPARES OR REPAIRS
« on: 09 March 2015, 12:05:20 »
Hello All,

I have a CCR2006 that I have removed from my Omega. It had a stuck CD cartridge, (not now), and when removing it the fascia 'came off in my hand' :-[

All parts are there including the cage. It is a bit mangled but I am sure would be useful for spares.

Does anyone want it?  Thought I would ask before disposing it.
I don't want to get into posting it but it is free to collector. I am in Farnborough Hants.

After much mucking about, I am quite happy as all is sorted. the car runs better than ever and will no doubt use less fuel. Happy wife, happy car.
Thanks for all advice and thanks Daz for new Maf sensor, works a treat.  :y

It sounds like the cartridge is still expanded, in which case it wont come out. Youll need to remove the whole unit. It's a bit of a nightmare!
There is a guide in the maintenance section but it is hard work even with pins. I ended up pulling the fascia off by accident  :-[
Oh dear, I think I might just have to put up with Radio 2 ::)

Cleaning generally doesn't help, and pattern MAFs tend to be pants. One of those parts that needs to be genuine, sadly.

Guffer, is yours from your old non-DBW car? If so, it won't fit a DBW car, unfortunately. :(

ballz, didn't realise that.  I cleaned the jag MAF successfully using electrical cleaner and careful application of cotton buds.  Is the miggy one that much more fragile/different? :-\

Does this mean that yours is not DBW Guffer? ???

I am having this trouble. It seems that there are a couple of issues. It looks like a cd or two are kind of out of the cartridge. I cant get the changer bit out at all. Even with the screws out and using keys, I cant remove the unit either. Did you get yours out?
