Omega General Help / Re: Very alarming problem!
« on: 23 June 2008, 16:44:33 »
I had a similiar  problem with my Omega. The car battery was low and not recharging properly so when I replaced it the problem cleared. My central locking was playing up as well but  cleared with the new battery.
Hope it helps.
Darren

Omega General Help / Re: Heater Blower Motor for 2.5 V6 W plate

As I already have the existing housing then would either motor fit into it or is the motor compete with the housing?
Thanks for your help.

The bearings I think as the faster the setting the noisier it becomes, also, The passenger airbag vibrates.

Omega General Help / Heater Blower Motor for 2.5 V6 W plate
« on: 23 June 2008, 17:02:02 »
The heater blower motor is on its way out so I went to a Vauxhall breakers and he said he needs to see, touch and vertually taste the motor to tell me if the replacement will fit.
Does anyone know if my Omega has a special type of heater blower or would one from another Vauxhall (Astra or something) be okay?
Mines a V6 2.5 CDX on a W plate.
Has anybody got a motor to sell as well please?
Thankyou,
Darren.

General Discussion Area / RED OIL WARNING LIGHT
« on: 28 May 2008, 11:52:12 »
When putting my V6 into Sports Mode then upto 6500rpm the red oil light came on...very scarey.
Whispers of "bad oil pressure" and "get rid of it quick" were rampent.
Then my hero, sorry, my mechanic stopped and thought for a moment, "Should I take sump off, aye why not."
The first oil filter is in the sump and this was vertually blocked. He wire brushed the sump and cleaned it properly, new oil and filter.
Problem solved for about £80.
No lies, bull or tall tales just good, honest work by the very  best mechanic, who's also my good friend.
He sent my Omega for MOT in March and that cost just the price of the MOT. PASSED.
He did my cam belt last month and that cost me £200.( Vauxhall quoted somewhere between £600-£800)

Anybody in Lancashire who needs this sort of mechanic then contact him on:-

The warning came up LBF/V. I kept putting it off til in the end I phoned Vauxhall. Service and Repair had never heard of such a strange fault but advised it would be £100 for a bulb £70 to diagnose the fault then  an unknown amount for Parts and Repair. I might be Green by name but not nature I thought and politely hung up.
More desparate than anything I looked to the web for help, guidance and a rudy miracle....... I fell upon this site and my prayers were answered. Thankyou ALL.
Front near side sensor failure. The arm from the sensor to the ball joint has come away from the sensor so i think the moving mechanism in the sensor has seized.
I'm going to see if I ca ;Dn repair it or get a new one if I cant.
