250 may be enough, possibly a bit more. And not too worried about lightening the back end up, may help what Im after.
Just need to crack on and check the engine when I get chance

Just purchased an elite that has a few issues to start with, but with near 12 months mot and for what I paid why the hell not.
Initial problem is its down on power and blowing. It is definitely leaking on the passenger side mani, and possibly the drivers side too.
I have read these are difficult but I'm willing to give it a shot when I get chance.
One query is, the power loss, it certainly doesn't feel as quick as it should. Granted Im used to faster motors but its certainly down. Would a bad leak cause a substantial loss.
Heads seem good, waters clean, oils clean, no smoke, idles spots on, cant notice any misfires or dropped cylinders, no sump pressurisation or expansion tank issues so?
The other is weight, my god she is a fat lady
, I didnt realise how chubby till after I bought her.
How many pounds of flesh can I realistically dump off her if I go to town, anyone actually tried it?
She wont be a daily either so comforts not so important
