The ole girl passed again. 2.5V6 CDX Manual MFL - Velvet Green - 2000 V Plate.  Good for another year

I'll put some new pics up when the weather better - Can't take her out from under the blanket and warm garage now can I 

A massive 1080 miles last year. 

I do have one Gremlin on the Radio - Noticed when turn volume down it seemed to insist on just turning it up instead !!   Assume sticky contact on rotary wheel ?   Original Phillips unit and 6 CD Boot changer.  Not sure if fixable with squirt of some contact cleaner ??

MOT man confessed he went to turn it down and deafened himself !!  Steering controls all work fine.

I think he talks about the grab handle because it's shaped like a banana on the pre-facelift. I have the same issue as I needed to remove the door cards, I had to remove this banana handle to reach one screw, and it disintegrated into pieces (sort of flexible rubber that becomes sticky and looses its flexibility over the years).

The shape of this part is very difficult to replicate in 3D because it's an "organic" shape without real reference faces. It's like a thick rubber skin that goes around the plastic handle clipped in the door card. I know there is one person on Instagram that sells them new but I don't know if it's 3D printed or old stock.

Keep us posted how you get on 

I was after the front drivers side (RH) Banana in black (rear ones unfortunately are a different part number and fit - I tried the rear in the front and slightly different shape  )

Managed to to find a genuine one from Germany - was the wrong colour but researched interior trim paint and it now matt black matching the rest  and looking back to original again.

I suppose it's akin to driving around in an Maestro, Marina or Metro - "as long as it's got 4 wheels, then I'm not bothered....."

Thanks for the info Jonnydog  , I don't have the original exhaust anymore, but i'll let you you know if I need a new back box if you have a PFL 3.0  

I am trying to keep her all Original as best I can

Original Canister one on mine with no issues for 25 years  , but then I service and correctly torque cap !!!

Always comes with new O-ring seal with the paper filter

I understand PFL 2.5 / 3.0 models had shorter tailpipes than the FL models 2.5 / 2.6 / 3.0 / 3.2 models, due to the profile of the rear bumper.
Replacement GM FL exhausts have a welded steel tip with ends cut at 90° that rust (as opposed to the original tailpipes which had stainless tips angled at 45°) which make it harder to remove them and put replacement tips of your choice, but many aftermarket tailpipes don't have fancy tips so it is easy to fit a tip of your choice.

If you have any links for tips which will fit the twin pipe rear PFL 3.0 then let me know - I looked for ages and couldn't find any correct size and clearance to fit

Hi all,
Can you tell me which exhaust system will fit my 2003 saloon. I have been  looking but can’t seem to find a specific 2.6 system. Will .3.0 and 3.2 systems fit.
The last system I put on was from Poland and cost £96 delivered. That was about ten years ago. I cannot think of the name of the company.
Any information would be well received. 👍🏻

The name was probably ’Eternal’.

And just admit that you want the twin tailpipe one.    Yes, the 3.0/3.2 saloon zorst will fit if installing from cat back, but I believe that the tailpipes may be a bit shorter on one variant so you could add your own tips. Others will confirm though. 

Hi all.

Yes, the Facelift I understand has slightly deeper/longer bumpers and so yep could pop tips on as a 3.0 original or MFL exhaust if fitted to a 3.2 Facelift will come up a few inches short at the tail pipe end. 

However, the twin pipes (for the 3.0/3.2 - Single pipe for the 2.5/2.6) are quite close together and I couldn't find any to fit when I looked for some as there is only a few mm gap between the two tailpipes making fitting 2 tips a challenge due to thickness of tail-tips.

I believe however that all the V6 variants fit, just make sure select Saloon as the Estate Rear sections are slightly different.

Soldered the hardwire kit on mine onto the rear 12v socket legs with an inline fuse. Dash cam will then stay on for 10 mins after you turn the ignition off as its on the multitimer switched circuit.

I have an FM-DAB Unit plugged and powered from my rear 12V socket, but it doesn't stay on for 10 mins when I turn ignition off    I guess it only does that as a feature on the Facelift Omega and obviously not my MFL.

Fuse 17 (Horn) I think is the one I'll pick, ensuring set the ‘auto off’ feature correctly and the ‘parking mode’ and watched the helpful Video

If you would like to power it from a permanent live source it’d pay you to watch this video, as he explains it better than Nextbase do.
