Omega General Help / injector pipes for 2.5 diesel Omega (1997)
« on: 04 February 2014, 13:40:19 »
Had a problem with a cracked injector pipe. Vauxhall said none in the country, could get some from Germany, 8 - 10 days!! and £67 for "set" 1, £72 for "set" 2, all plus VAT of course.
Found the following - Omega Spare Parts Ltd, 0770 6495877 or 0800 9175877, ask for Steve. £29.99 for full set, used but thoroughly checked, next day delivery if ordered by 4pm, 30 day return policy.
Orderd at 2:30pm yesterday, delivered 11:20am to-day. Well packed, perfect fit, now firing on all 6!
Highly recommend this company.

Result! Dealer I bought the Omega from had it in this morning and replaced section of the pipe, then tried to charge me £20: after a short discussion, he agreed to £10. Not worth arguing about.

Drove home, parked up, no sign of leaking.

Next job will be to clean the lift pump filter as per the photos put up by Seth.

Thanks again, a great forum (much better than the Range Rover one I used to be on, no sarcastic silly comments).

Nothing is ever easy, is it? Checked suggested areas, all dry! Traced leak to pipe up above diff, difficult to reach in the street! Car was bought with just 1 month warranty, which of course didn'y cover fuel leak - however, after some discussion with seller, he's having it back to do the job!!!
Thanks again to those people who responded.

Got home last night, strong smell of diesel in load compartment, area under tank awash with diesel.

Only had the car a week! so not yet familiar with it. Anyone got any ideas, please? (Fuel return pipe or something)?
