Omega General Help / Popping Noises When Starting my car !

After leaving my car (Omega 1999 MV6 3.0) for a weak without starting it 
today in the morning tried to start it and the sounds came on ! and the rpm was going up and down after a few seconds the engine stops with a popping sound  but if a keep my foot on the gas pedal it keeps running with rpm and the engine rives up and down please advise or help me out cuz i love this car
