General Car Chat / Miggy going
« on: 22 August 2016, 10:57:45 »
Final day tomorrow car goes on E-bay will miss results as having a small Op in hospital ( bad timing ) would have put it on club site but not enough posts although been a member for around 10 years, forgot my password so had to rejoin again, did not want to bother club.  Who buys will get a bargain as I put a low price not being greedy as car was worth more, will still keep reading posts for the amusing stories  ;)

On 2 separate sites the other states 600 easy enough to check for your self can not see why they would lie, as they are 2 major sites where do you get your information.

General Car Chat / Omega suggestion

Having bought an estate 3 months ago with power lift for mobility scooter, it is hard to let miggy go after 4 years with no problems, on checking my number plates found that I could get £500 in hand without any money to pay out, only new plates when DVLA give you one.  As my Insurance runs out in November did not want to renew it as other car is on separate Insurance, I use both cars on the road ,  So do I keep car on chance of selling plates which could take months or sell car at low price and other buyer gets the car for say £300 plus plates, or better still keep car as wife has other ideas  ::) car is 2.5 Omega Elite Saloon

Gas valves can play up bad connection (wires) or not working some systems have one at the tank itself and another in the engine compartment 1 or 2 depending on gas system .

Omega General Help / rear heating
« on: 01 December 2015, 20:48:01 »
Never bothered with this before as I never sit in the back seat to notice but has been there 3 or more years, cold air blowing at all times so kept vents closed thought might look into this seeing I had to sort Key problem, which has been done did lube on barrel no gee, When removed noticed some tumblers slightly proud due to worn key slots, filed down still had to use mini files in barrel before full rotation as this last action did the trick, replaced lock steering wheel locks and releases alright so back to rear heating probs must be simple I hope as this is a miggy.

Removing plastic from new key leaving key only and inserting into my remote with chip should do the trick as key is another issue , will only do this if key will not turn if key turns will carry on cleaning it, at the moment I have started on steering wheel may have to make an extractor for wheel :) blowing a gale outside hope garage roof stays on will start again to-morrow in daylight thanks for the help Andy .

The cylinder and key kit on Ebay shows a solid plastic handle not the remote type, so thought that using the key its self and replacing the key in my remote if that was possible Andy.

If key wont turn could you buy another cylinder and key then insert key into remote as a last resort.

Have not done many posts but read others have been a member for a number of years had to rejoin because I could not remember my password :( not having any issues over the last 3 years till now, Ignition key starting to give problems trying to turn key on when eventually does then difficultly getting key out again, so is this the lock it self or electrical tried both keys same result.
