Omega General Help / 2.5 td HELP REQUIRED

Hi everybody im new to this site, ive just purchased an omega 2.5 td [bmw engine] manual estate r reg 1998. The problems i have are as follows .[1] the car takes a while to start in the morning it turns the engine over quickly, but it takes about 30 seconds to get the car to fire up [this is with giving the car plenty of time for the glow plugs to work]. [2] the car is very slow when setting off through the gears [even stalling on set off if you dont get enough revs on] although if you rev it long enough through gears, lets say second for example the turbo kicks in and it pins you back in the seat[very powerful].[3]when driving around town on A roads etc around 30 to 50 mph the engine management light comes on and the power drops for 1 or 2 seconds, but as soon as you let off the throttle the light goes out and the power comes back.I WOULD BE GRATEFULL FOR ANY ADVICE YOUR HELP IS MUCH APPRICIATED, CHEERS MICKY
