They don't supply AGP.. ;D ;D ;D Lemfoerder do.
Thanks for that, as that clearly rules out the fake Lemforder theory then :y

But does mean Lemforder quality has dropped over the past 3 or 4 years :(

Interesting for sure. We do occasionally see some early VW ball joints made in China and had a Touareg control arm come Made in Taiwan but still saw no failures. Good to get some feedback though.

Eurocrapparts seem to be supplying everyone else... And would explain why nothing is ever in stock...
Ah, well, if they supply AGP, that might explain the poor product life of my last one :(

They don't supply AGP.. ;D ;D ;D Lemfoerder do. We can also supply this bush. If you can wait a couple of weeks- they are out of stock in the UK presently. You'll need to find the item as follows:

www.allgermanparts.co.uk >
Choose make (presently need to choose ) Opel >
Choose model = Omega B >
Choose sub model eg. 2.2 DTI 16V >
Choose category = Axle mounting, steering and wheels >
Choose sub category = Steering >
Choose 'control arm' (?) and this will show the idler bush in Lemforder.

As I mention these are a couple of weeks delivery from order.

Have a look on the site. It's been relaunched and only Lemfoerder and Meyle on at the moment but with many more coming over the next few days. Price match on genuine UK sites if they're cheaper.

I've yet to see one of our Lemfoerder idler arms returned for premature failure. Two year warranty on them too.

Appologies, I'm juggling work stuff.

Just to add, are the 3.2 remaps any more expensive or involved than any other model or over and above the pricing mentioned? I'm under the impression the 3.2 and 2.6 are somehow more involved than normal, going by discussions here previously. :-\

Hi Chris,
so I can't see any reason why they should be any more money to be honest. We've done quite a few so far and there have been no issues doing cars over OBD. On the whole the only difficulties I have encountered have been on cars after 2010 where the ECU has to be removed and opened. A software patch has to be applied to overcome the car maker's anti tune protection. The car can then have remaps over OBD from then on. I will check this out and give you a shout.

Hi tunnie,
We can do bikes using our equipment subject to us having the suitable OBD cable. I just discussed with Viezu and they said that although the headline figures of 5 BHP and 6 NM of torque don't sound massive, that you'd certainly feel like there was an improvement. Let me know if it's something you'd like to pursue. Our offer price would be the same £175 if the cable is the same.

All the best
Jason

Thanks Jason, however it is only 5bhp gains?

On the GS forum, the 'Hilltop Motorcycles' remap gains are significantly more, I think they specialise in GS's. But most members report a whacking 20% increase in power and torque figures, going from around 80bhp to well over 100. Due to GS's being very lean on fuel from BMW, for emissions reasons.

eg this thread:

Hi Tunnie,
I did think it was a bit low and will investigate. I am going to Italy in July to learn to write the files myself at Alientech so things could be very different then. I will look at the post you linked to and give you a shout back.
cheers
Jason

Hi Guys,
sorry for the delay in responding. It was a busy old day and I didn't get a moment to investigate. I will contact Viezu tomorrow to find the possible outcomes for each model. As Chris rightly mentioned most car makers make the model suitable for use in many markets around the world and the result is a one size fits all map. As such any factory map can be improved. On turbo diesel cars you'll notice the most benefit, then a turbo petrol followed by a normally aspirated petrol car. I will find out the likely results tomorrow and get some information posted up.

Omega General Help / Remapping now available at All German Parts
« on: 28 April 2015, 09:55:05 »
Hi Guys,
It's been a while since I posted up but I thought some of you might be interested in our latest news. We have been appointed Viezu agents in the last month for their award winning remaps. These are available in three versions which are economy, performance and a blend of the two. We've seen great improvements in every vehicle we have remapped. No generic remaps are used, or Chinese clone tools and each file file is hand coded by professionals trained by Alientech in Italy. Viezu are the only remap company to be awarded the Queens Award for Business and Innovation. We have a 14 days money back guarantee. If you are not happy we will reinstate your original map and refund immediately. No-one has yet to take us up on the offer. All our customers have been impressed. We'd love to offer our friends on OOF a special price of £175.00 which is £50.00 off our usual price. We're based in Leeds as many users know, but we also remap in Sheffield, Barnsley and Huddersfield. Please give us a call on 0113 2775245 or mobile 07870 247077. Diesel users have seen large increases in torque and real fuel savings too. Driveability is also improved.

« on: 20 October 2014, 13:45:02 »
Hi All,
It's been a while due to moving to a strange German shopping cart which allowed us to create a discount code but nowhere for customers to enter it... however I have moved the site and now you can get 10% off any order over £30.00 with no limit on uses or maximum saving. Hope it's OK to put it up again on here.
The code is Omega10
