Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Front self levelling sensor
« on: 18 November 2015, 22:11:19 »
Was changing the wishbones on my 00 CDX omega and noticed I've a problem with my headlamp levelling sensor. The wee plastic arm connected to the metal arm that plugs into the sensor is missing. Can you buy the wee arm or do I need to purchase the entire unit?

Thanks in advance

My 2.5 CDX X-plate omega is putting up a coolant level check sign on the display but the coolant in the expansion tank is spot on. Failed sensor in expansion tank?

Omega General Help / Re: Omega misfire

I got a set of ProSpark leads from EuroCarParts. For two reasons, EuroCarParts is few 100 yards from me and was a reasonable price to see if it was the leads that was the problem. Only problem with the set, leads are a bit longer than the ones in the car, down the right bank, about 3-4inches too long.

Thank you for the suggestions. Would the leads be bad even tho I checked them with a spare plug and seen them all firing?

Omega General Help / Omega misfire

Hi guys, new to the forum. Need some help with my 00 omega 2.5 v6 (x25xe). Had the water pipe at the rear of the engine rupture. Repaired it and drove a happy 600 miles over Xmas. Last tues I went for a spin to town and the car developed what I believe to be a misfire. Very jumpy under load or any type of acceleration, like it's on kangaroo fuel. If you nurse the car and be very gentle with it, she's grand. Come to any incline or when your starting off from lights revving up to 2000rpm, the car is shocking jumpy and there's serious vibrations when your stationary.

Called into local garage who put it on computer, no faults shown to explain it. Said it could be a number of things from leads, plugs, vac pipes. Then noticed one to front butterfly tore and we repaired it. I have since checked the timing of the car, it's spot on. Checked spark plug leads, they are all firing. Plugs down the pass side of the engine were covered in oil, typical rocker gasket failure. Over the weekend I repaired the gasket, cleaned the plug holes and replaced the spark plugs with new ones. Then cleaned the oil breathers in the plentium and rebuilt everything. Car still the same, lumpy and no better. Any suggestions?
