is anyone running a Parrot hands free kit, and if so which version is working with Bose - the MK9200 or the CK3100?

2
Thanks all, is the DAB unit compatible with Bose do you know? Will hunt down a Nokia unit too

Hello Forum, firstly please do not flame me :-\, I’ve read and re-read many threads on the following topic across multiple websites and I’ve reached the point that I’m confused (can’t see the wood for the trees) and would like some straight answers and to find out what works well in your own cars. Also the technology may have moved on in the last few years so there may be new ways of achieving phone connectivity.
Car: 2002 Elite 3.2
Stereo: NCDC2013 with colour satnav and Bose and in-dash 4 CD autochanger.
Aerial: there is a short stubby aerial on the roof

I would like to:
Essential - Have a Bluetooth Hands Free kit
Nice to Have - Have the ability to stream music from phone.

I read of some people using the Parrott MKI 9200 for streaming (even on bose?) and others using a Harmon Kardon FM kit. For the Hands Free phone option there is talk of a cheap nokia kit available – is this just plug and play into existing wiring?

Please let me know what works well in your cars, especially if you have a similar setup to mine.

Thanks, Nick :y

Done and am ready to be bombarded with offers! ;D

Hello, please help restore the facia of my Omega, does anyone have a spare ashtray mechanism ( the unit that screws with a single screw at the back). Mine is open and not holding when closed. The plastic peg at the back has snapped. I have the clip and spring in case you have the rest of the mechanism....

Am on the Wirral at weekends and near Preston during the week if it helps with collection and payment.

Thanks, Nick

Will do, are they commonly available in breakers yards or a bit like hens teeth?

Hello, the ashtray was not closing so this evening took it out to take a look. I have the spring (4 coils with two long tails) and catch however the peg at the back that the spring and latch sit on top of is broke and missing.

Any recommendations for a fix? or is it a replacement mechanism?

cheers
Nick

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Ice alert - can it be calmed?
« on: 03 March 2015, 22:18:26 »
Hello, is there a way to switch off or reduce the number of ice alerts on the Omega? I think it alerts with every .5celcius of change which due to my commute means a fairly constant on for the whole journey. Appreciate that the initial alert is a good safety feature!

Thanks, Nick

Lambda sensor changed today and the engine management light has gone, fresh oil/plugs and filters, plus a thumbs up from the mechanic confirming that she's not a lemon! :D happy days!!

Sounds a good 'un. Welcome!  :)

LOL!

I'm sure that there are some surprises hiding inside her, however all is forgiven when she accelerates down the motorway slip road! Lovely noise.

Hello and greetings OOF, have been following the forum for the last few weeks and look forward to contributing.

Bought my Omega at the weekend, needed a reliable and comfortable motorway cruiser, its the 3.2i in Elite spec with Irmsher front, loads of service history and all the MOT's, 130k miles on the clockbut only 5000 miles a year for the past few years.

Car Key fob was not working......replaced the battery today and hey presto...that was £1 well spent......now to move onto the 'real to-do's' and prioritise the shopping/garage list!
