Yes it revs fine even when cold it won't idle until it has run for 3 to 4 minutes

It's running rough it starts but have to keep the revs up for a couple of minutes or it seems to start running on one or two cylinders before cutting out after the initial warm up it will run but doesn't seem to have its full power or throttle response. It is the orange engin block that stays on constantly

Hi guys using the pedal trick (great tip thanks) I got my fault codes I have had a badly blowing exhaust for a week but yesterday the engin management light came know and stayed on. The car is due for mot I need to know If the fault codes and waning light are being caused y the blowing exhaust or if I have other issues I don't want to replace exhaust then have engin issues to sort as with other things that need attention ie.new set of tyres the car will be not economically viable. I will list the fault codes and thank you in advance for any advice .

P'S.

To the comments below the pedal trick works on the 2.2 Auto but you need to put car into drive and then carry out test as described .

As a heating engineer not in any way a car mechanic looking at your photo boilers have similar parts take it to a plumbing merchant they will have complete sets of O rings you can buy separately replace them with the correct size and at the same time buy some silicone grease use this liberally on orange and shaft this will also help with the seal.

Omega General Help / hairy exhaust
« on: 04 May 2015, 10:09:04 »
Hi guys
I have got glass fiber coming out of my exhaust pulled out what was hanging out. Am I correct in thinking this is the packing in the back box and as I have only just passed an mot I don't want to spend any money It doesn't seem more noisy or have a loss of power so is ok to leave as is
Thanks in advance for your replies
Regards Jason

I've checked the temperature sensor found it easily from your description but it was sited correctly and on inspection no visible faults or water ingress.  Is there any thing further I can do

9
C/F was my first thought but it is showing oC I will try and locate the sensor and check it's position but it's reading high even first thing in the morning with minus temperatures

10
Hi my temperature  readout is telling me it's 30 something degrees while I'm scraping ice off the windows it does seem to correct it's self at times but soon transports be back to the Bahamas
Is this an easy cheep fix or just ignore it
Look forward to your responses
Regards Jason

Omega General Help / MOT fail
« on: 03 March 2015, 21:55:54 »
Hi I apologize. In advance for these questions they are probably very basic to you guys
My Omega GLS 2001 auto failed it's mot today I am informed that I need to replace the lower front
Suspension arms disc's and pads my questions are the arms are just lumps of metal with rubber bits on the three corners can I not remove them and replace the 2 bushes and ball joint. Secondly I am informed that I have a brake
Ware sensor on the front pads but can't find the sensor or any associated wiring
I hope I have given enough info and look forward to receiving your advice
