Omega General Help / Info on the 2.5 TDI wanted

Hi guys!
I'm thinking of doing a engine transplant in my Chevy Blazer. I'm keen to replace the very thirsty 4.3 V6 with a diesel for improved economy.
I've found indications that the 2.5 TDI uses the GM 4L30E auto, mine has the stronger 4L60. This should bolt up nice and make things easier, I think...
So then what I need:
What's the weight on the 2.5 TDI?
And does anyone know how long the motor is? I need it measured from gearbox mounting face to fan to see if I'm able to fit it in my engine bay... I'll need to know the width too...
