At the moment the car is idling quite rough, so lm thinking that maybe it is the ICV?

Evening,
I need to replace the ICV on my 3.0 omega, l know the original part is a Bosch , but l have seen aftermarket ones on ebay and motor factors, all ranging from £29-£150.
Should l stick with original or can l go for a OE product?

Evening All,
When repalcing a crank sensor is it advised to go to main dealer or will a pattern part do? Is it still available to order from Vauxhall anymore?

Morning,
The car that you own was registered as a government dispatch agency vehicle, this meant that it was used for a number of different tasks, Gordon Brown was then given Tony Blairs Jaguar XJ, so l think you will find that it may ahve been used by Mr Brown, but possibly not his own vehicle,

The adjustment that needs doing, does it mean l have to take off the switch again or the connector?

Afternoon all,
I have posted a few items regarding the gearbox on my omega, it had a replacement selector switch installed was working ok on a short test drive, last couple of weeks it would seem that if you put it on drive it would show 3, if you put it back on park then it would show reverse and the lights would flicker about but eventualy show correct gear. Now the car seems to drive fine, if you put it on drive it will show 3 at first but within seconds correspond back to show drive.
Also the snow button isnt working aswell, now could it be that the gear led panel is faulty and its just that? as l said the car is going into the correct gear and driving well but the lights on panel are just messing about, no warning lights on dash or anything.
I am waiting for a forum member to get back to me, but any thoughts out there

My 2.6 estate has on the rears 255/45/17 are these standard stock size or not?

Does anyone know if a vectra 2.6 v6 engine will go straight in a omega 2.6? Is it a straight fit,or should I stick to original engine replacement?

Is it normal in this cold weather to notice a bit of smoke bellowing out? Have noticed it recently, hasn't been driven lately and with the cold weather just thinking is this anything to worry about, engine temperature is good, no loss of power.

Yes tried that and no luck, also had one fitted but it would appear that the part was not very good, car is parked up and possibly looking at going into the dreaded bone yard

Can someone please tell me where l can obtain a gear selector switch from? l have tried numerous breakers but no success, main stealers want £400+vat, would another switch from a v6 vauxhall work?
The lights are flashing and not representing the correct gear choice
Any help would be appreaciated

Well the work was done by a forum member so l am hoping it was done correctly, it was working all fine for a few days now it will drive and go into reverse as it should, only the selector lights dont show the correct gear sometimes, and flashing randomly
