Naw haven't checked yet but it seems as if it's getting too much fuel as the white smoke smells strong of derv

Hi I'm new to the omega clan and I have one as a drift car, it's a 2.5td bmw lump and I recently got a chip with a limiter installed at 5400 rpm but when I rev the omega to about 5000rpm she will clatter and fill the place with white reek and die, then it will just about start and idle funny then she clears herself and she's grand again :/, she drives fine and is quick but just won't rev out any ideas??
