Omega General Help / Re: coolant temperature
« on: 22 October 2007, 17:45:33 »
Been out and done about 10-12 mile, temp gauge did not go over 95-98. My rad is showing 2 switches , if top one is for fan , what is bottom for, sorry if I am being thick.
Fan does work but appears to be different from last week , ie not as loud or as fast.

Yes its in the red, the thermometer on the gauge lights up red then the fan kicks in, I have been told it could be that the car has 2 fans switches and only one is working, but dont know if top switch is the highest setting or bottom switch

Omega General Help / coolant temperature

Hi all,
I have a 2.5 V6 1998 omega, the water temp gets on highest setting then fan kicks in, the fan sounds different , I understand that there are two fan switches could it be that one of these has stopped working. Everything was fine until last week. Yesterday did coolant flush and new anti freeze mixture.
