Sorry for poor pic, but is your throttle body the same with the square cut-outIs this the actuator?
I believe all the actuators are the same, they use different length Bowden cables for different applications.
So any Omega-B or Vectra-B actuator will do, but you will need to source the 2.0l Omega Bowden cable.... ....good luck with that, as cruise was a rare option on our 2.0l
Probably, hence why it has a different part number, Vectras Engines are transverse, where as Omega is in line, so whether it will fit or not, who knows. The problem comes when I search for an Omega cruise control, I got a few possibles boxes/actuators/whatever they're called, that seem the same product but come with diferent serial no. All of them seem to work ok on my engine code, and some of them also seem to fit also the Vectra B. That's why I'm stuck, I don't know which is the correct one to be fitted in my car.
Your kind of making hard work for yourself here, just retro fit one from an Omega, at least you know it will fit before parting with your cash.
I believe there the same, so both would probably a 2.0 but not the other way around, not sure if the Brackets are the same though.
Thanks! The actual struggle is that both GM 25141616 and GM 25315546 seem to be the "same" actuator and seem to work ok on a X20XEV engine. Last one seems to be from a Vectra B platform, though.
I don't know if it really bother the car model, the engine code or the makeyear or all of this three things. I'm a little lost here right now. As I said before, I wan't to be sure it would work fine before wasting money.
Sorry for the annoying, and again, thanks for answering.
Yes Vectra B ones work to.
In that era the cruise modules were all the same but with different length cables attached to suit the engine installation (Vectra being FWD was different again to the two Omega versions)
I believe there the same, so both would probably a 2.0 but not the other way around, not sure if the Brackets are the same though.
Same base unit and a different length cable attached to it, I suspect you could get a V6 one to fit.Ok, thanks. 4-pin brake switch I'm pretty sure it's fitted. I'll check it another time, though. Better to be sure.
Beware the brake switch as you need a four pin version for cruise (it may well only be a 2 pin unit fitted at the moment)
Cant help with the S/N but there are two versions 2.0 and V6, the 2.0 has a shorter Throttle Cable from memory, dont forget your also need the bracket(s) that hold the 2 Throttle Cables in place. Thanks for answering. In the two versions, are the actuator the same and does only change the throttle cable lenght?
Your also need the clutch switch if yours is Manual.
