Are there any TECH2 owning people in South Wales or Gloucester areas?
I'm looking to get cruise enabled on my '03 V6 having seen that it just requires a new indicator stalk
If not it'll be a discussion with Vauxhall...

Just had my gearbox and climate control updated by a person who works for the local stealer, and does after work jobs in his mates garage ( who used to work for the same stealer for more than 30 years before going independent ). He "borrows" the Tech 2 plus his laptop from work, charged me £25, plus he checked the engine electics but that was up to date. When he first checked the gearbox, the Tech 2 found 5 faults, after updating from what I believe was version 3 software to version 8, all was well.
After the updates, the only fault thrown up was a bulb on the dash for exhaust emission had blown or removed. I'm very pleased with the work done and more so the cost. One happy bunny.

The temptation to just mash the right pedal into the carpet was horrible, though.

Interestingly, I get about 32-34mpg if I set the cruise at 60 - But this increases to 34-35 if I set the cruise to 70!
My cruising speed on the motorway is about 76mph usually, works well for me, both economy wise, and to keep up with traffic flow.
Today, coming from Cardiff to Gloucester, on the M4/M5, I was playing with the loud pedal, and my magic wand (gear stick!) and averaged less than 20mpg. Do the maths!
I get the same in my old 2.5 CD, 70mph brought up 32-33 push it up to 80 and get 33-34. I guess the pooter thinks because I go faster, I'll get there quicker and use less motion lotion.
