Thanks Pete, Looks like  I am definately missing a bolt, should I even be driving it?   :-? it is going in for a service on the 27th December, presumably the oil level will be considerably lower than it should be, seems to be running ok?

  Hi everyone, another question about my recently purchased Omega 2.6 Elite, I think I might be missing a bolt/plug from the rear diff, does anyone have a picture of the rear diff  on their car they could post/or send me?

From the rear of the car it is on the left hand side and I think oil has escaped from the diff, sorry about the stupid questions I probably should have had it up on the ramps before I purchased it, apart from a couple of niggles I am really chuffed with the motor I have wanted one forever

Thanks everyone, I will give it a go over the christmas holidays (its going in for a cambelt, reading everyone posts it seems a vital part of the service routine (not cheap .

I have another question? I will post it one a new thread. Thanks again your advice is much appreciated.

  Hi Everyone, just bought an 03 plate Vauxhall omega elite (wanted one for ever), everytime I Start and Stop the ignition the display pops up with a coolent level message (but I have checked the coolent level and it is fine), is there a sensor or something I need to clean?[size=12][/size]

Thanks for the welcome everyone - I wish I had more information to post with, I wanted to sell it here because I know the car would find a good home - don't want to stick it on ebay or autotrader for some idiot to come round and kick the tyres, I love my omega but so many people undervalue them!!
