petrol 2.5 v6 did run for a bit and yes engine light is on :-?

run out of fuel so filled up now car starts then dies straight away any ideas?

run out of petrol so filled up then would'nt start engine light on just pops from air box and thats all can u help cos dont no what to do its a 2.5 v6 :-/
